Kyrgyz-curated coastal Vietnam: world-class diving, ancient Cham towers, French gothic cathedrals, eco-parks and the only halal-aware travel guide for this region. Direct flights from Bishkek via Aero Nomad.
All visited and rated personally on a 7-day trip in April 2026. Priorities are honest — "skip" means skip.
The base. Coastal resort city, dive central, halal-friendly food (Uzbek, Turkish, Indian). Direct flights from Bishkek via Aero Nomad. The starting point for everything else.
Vietnam's #1 dive site. Marine reserve with corals, tropical fish, harmless nurse sharks. DSD-friendly (5–15m). Visibility 15–20m at peak season.
Rocky promontory with cracked boulders on the coast. The viral Instagram spot of Nha Trang — "giant's handprint" legend. Best at sunset (~17:30).
8th–13th century Cham kingdom temple complex. Unique angle for Muslim travelers — Cham people partly converted to Islam. Living history of Islam in SEA.
Late-19th-century Buddhist temple with a 24-meter White Buddha statue on a hill above the city. 220 steps up. Free entry. Best at 08:00–10:00.
French gothic Catholic cathedral built 1928–1933. Imported French stained glass, bell tower. Locals call it Nhà thờ Núi. Skip on Sundays (services).
SEA's oldest oceanographic museum (since 1923). 18-meter humpback whale skeleton, transparent fish exhibits, live aquariums. Perfect for rainy days or families.
Waterfalls + hot springs + mini-zoo, 45 km out. Honest review: not worth a full day. Cockfighting and pig races (haram). Skip and do culture or Vinpearl instead.
Nha Trang is unusual for Southeast Asia — there are real halal restaurants and you can eat well as a Muslim. There's no working mosque in the city itself (nearest Masjid Al-Mubarak is in Ninh Hai, 50–60 km). Plan your salah accordingly.
